Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace and a Concentration in Aviation Security:

The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace with a Concentration in Aviation Security combines a specific Aviation Security component with a general education component and the possibility to further enhance the degree with specific coursework in the Concentration. Coursework for the Aviation Security Concentration include Introduction to Aviation Security, Airport Security, Corporate Security, National Security Issues and Terrorism and Counterterrorism and Aviation. Additional coursework possibilities include Management, Airport Operations Management, Aviation Safety, Flight Operations and Aviation Maintenance Management. The degree prepares graduates for entry into and advancement within the diverse field of aviation specific to their desires and industry needs. Graduates will be prepared to meet the challenges of the diverse and dynamic aviation industry.

 

Program Objectives:

The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace including one Concentration provides the opportunity for employees and professionals of the aviation industry to gain a solid education, broaden their knowledge of the aviation industry, and gain valuable specific skills and knowledge as they pertain to the Degree and Concentration selected.

 

To receive a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace with a Concentration in Aviation Security students must complete 123 credit hours as described below. The length of the program is 41 months.
