Just exactly what is aviation technology? This exciting course of study allows individuals with a desire to soar to the top of their careers to learn the fundamentals of the aviation field through in-depth study in courses such as Federal Aviation Administration, Air Traffic Control, and General Aviation Marketing Management. It also provides the opportunity for students to thoroughly explore more intricate topics through courses such as Aircraft Engines, Physiology of Flight, Aviation Human Factors, Aviation Insurance and Risk Management, and more. An Aviation Capstone Course will culminate the program, allowing prospective graduates to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the course of study in aviation technology. Students may complete all program requirements for the aviation technology degree 100% online and at all three campus locations including the Orlando, Sarasota, or Boca Raton campuses.
The Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Technology provides a wide range of specialized aviation courses coupled with solid general education and management courses. Whether a student is preparing to embark on an aviation career or is already an established professional in the aviation field, he/she will be prepared to meet the challenges of the diverse and dynamic aviation industry. Previously earned FAA certificates and ratings in Air Traffic Control, Aviation Maintenance, Flight Operations, Dispatch Operations and/or Military Aviation Operations may be evaluated for transfer credit.
