Accepts Two of Seven Statewide Faculty Awards “Faculty Member of the
Year” for Bringing Education and Work Experience to the Classroom
Boca Raton, Florida - At its annual convention in Fort Lauderdale last week,
the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) awarded
Everglades University Aviation Instructor Michael Flynn and Accounting Professor
Scott Myott, Faculty Member of the Year. Each year, FAPSC members recognize the
work of their colleagues by determining a winner of seven different faculty
disciplines through its Annual Awards Program.
Flynn serves as Aviation Department Chair and teaches six aviation courses:
Aviation History, Introduction to Aeronautics, Aviation Safety, Introduction to
Space, Airway Transportation System, and Aerospace Technology Development.
Bringing both education and work experience to the classroom, Myott has over 20
years of professional accounting experience with well-known companies in South
Florida and a dual Masters Degree in taxation and business administration. Myott
is the professor of four accounting and finance classes and serves as the
Director of Taxation for a prominent company in Boca Raton, Florida.
Founded
in 1956, FAPSC remains a leader in promoting excellence in post secondary
education at Florida’s nonpublic colleges and career schools. With conferences
in January and July each year, this summer’s conference was the most successful
one in FAPSC history.
