Local University Accepts Two of Seven Statewide Faculty Awards “Faculty Member of the Year” for Bringing Education and Work Experience to the Classroom#########

Boca Raton, Florida - At its annual convention in Fort Lauderdale last week, the Florida Association of Postsecondary Schools and Colleges (FAPSC) awarded Everglades University Aviation Instructor Michael Flynn and Accounting Professor Scott Myott, Faculty Member of the Year. Each year, FAPSC members recognize the work of their colleagues by determining a winner of seven different faculty disciplines through its Annual Awards Program.

Flynn serves as Aviation Department Chair and teaches six aviation courses: Aviation History, Introduction to Aeronautics, Aviation Safety, Introduction to Space, Airway Transportation System, and Aerospace Technology Development. Bringing both education and work experience to the classroom, Myott has over 20 years of professional accounting experience with well-known companies in South Florida and a dual Masters Degree in taxation and business administration. Myott is the professor of four accounting and finance classes and serves as the Director of Taxation for a prominent company in Boca Raton, Florida.
