Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Fort Lauderdale-based Everglades College will open its first
branch campus
in the
Keiser University building at 6151 Lake Osprey Drive
in Sarasota, FL;
adjacent to the University Parkway exit of I-75 in Lakewood Ranch in
May 2003 school officials announced.
Part of the Keiser
Collegiate System that includes Keiser University, Everglades College was
founded in 1989 and offers campus-based and web-based distance
learning programs specifically designed to meet the degree-seeking,
degree completion, and continuing education needs of today’s working
professional. The college caters to working students by scheduling
classes one evening during the week and Saturday to enable students to
work full-time while earning their Bachelor’s degree. Students take
one class at a time before moving onto the next, this format meets the
needs of working students by eliminating the juggling of multiple
assignments and exams simultaneously.
Everglades College is a four-year institution which offers classes
both on campus and online. The college offers the Bachelor of Science
Degree with majors in Business Administration, Information Technology,
Applied Management, Aviation Management, Professional Aviation, and
Alternative Medicine. With small class sizes and unique scheduling,
Everglades accommodates the working student. Part of the Keiser
Collegiate System which serves nearly 5,000 students throughout
Florida, Everglades College is accredited by the Accrediting
Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.
