Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Website Accessibility

Everglades University (EU) is committed to facilitating the accessibility and usability of its website for all users and to take steps so that individuals with disabilities are not excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently because of their disability.

To continue to improve the accessibility of its Website, Everglades University is committed to implementing, over time, the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guideline 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) as its web accessibility standard. We have engaged experienced accessibility consultants to assess our website’s accessibility to persons with disabilities and to provide us with specific recommendations and feedback to facilitate further accessibility and conformance with WCAG 2.0 standards. Once the recommendations have been addressed, our plan is to have our website tested on a periodic basis with assistive technology such as screen readers and screen magnifiers in order to ensure that our site remains accessible.

Please be aware that our efforts to provide an accessible website are ongoing and it is possible that some users may encounter accessibility issues. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your accessibility questions and concerns. Additionally, if a person with a disability needs to request access to information that is currently inaccessible as an ADA accommodation, please contact Jared Bezet, Vice President of Academic Affairs at [email protected] or at 561-912-1211, ext. 108.

To understand how to request assistance, identify EU policies, or follow instructions to file a formal complaint under Section 504, download a copy of our ADA Accessibility and Disability Services Guide.
