Everglades University CARES Act (COVID-19) Student Aid
Everglades University is working diligently to assist students in attaining their higher education goals during unprecedented financial challenges associated with COVID-19. H.R. 748, The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act makes provision for limited grant aid to Everglades University students who demonstrate emergency financial need directly attributable to the COVID-19 crisis.
Full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate Everglades University students enrolled on March 13, 2020 will receive a one-time grant through the CARES Act initiative, Emergency Grants I & II.
Priority for Initial Emergency Grant aid I is placed on students with highest economic need as indicated by their EFC. EFC of $0-$15,000.
Students with an EFC of greater than $15,000 will receive an Emergency Grant aid II.
CARES Act grants will be issued in two phases.
Phase I – Initial Emergency Grants I. Initial grants will be automatically awarded to eligible students and delivered to students by June 5, 2020. No application is required to receive grants under Phase I.
Phase II – Emergency Grants II. Phase II grants will be automatically awarded to eligible students and delivered to students on or before June 30th, 2020. No application is required to receive grants under Phase II.
