ALERT MESSAGE - AOL MEMBERS PLEASE READ
Dear eCollege Students and Faculty,
We are writing to alert you regarding an issue which is currently affecting students and faculty using an AOL email address. Emails sent through the email class feature are currently not reaching AOL and CompuServe users. We are working to resolve this issue but if you are using an AOL address within your course you may consider changing to an alternate address if you have one (for example a hotmail, yahoo, or school email address). If you don't have an alternate email account you can create one, for FREE, at any of the following websites - hotmail.com; http://mail.yahoo.com/; http://login.mail.lycos.com; webmail.juno.com. To change your email address within your course, login to your personal student homepage and click on the User Profile tab. The other option is that until this issue is resolved AOL users should send email directly through AOL email program rather than utilizing the Email class feature. Our IT department is working with both Microsoft Premier Support and AOL to identify the problem and resolve it as soon as possible. Additionally, during our trouble shooting process, you may have received multiple copies of messages sent through the E-mail Class tool, within your class. As we continue to research this issue you may continue to receive these additional notifications. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we will update you as soon as additional information is available. Thank you and have a nice day. eCollege Help Desk - 6/12/01 |
