National Call to Action Statement

The mission of Everglades University is to provide quality education to adult learners of diverse backgrounds in a collaborative environment where each individual has the opportunity to achieve personal growth. The University seeks to accomplish its mission by combining small class sizes and innovative programs with traditional academic values. The university supports the academic endeavor and service, to deliver graduate and undergraduate programs both on campus and online.

Through our Campus Master Plans and the University’s Long Range Strategic Directives we are dedicated to supporting our mission through sound planning and budgeting.

In addition, Everglades University is dedicated to striving for academic excellence and rigor through constant assessment and evaluation of our academic delivery and success (outcomes) via numerous institutional effectiveness processes. The University is not only committed to improving our programs but also to embracing new technologies available to faculty and students as evidenced by the University’s Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) called AIRTIME: AI Responsibly Taught Improves My Education.

Making Everglades University affordable and accessible to students is a priority and the university was ranked #3 in the country for 2027 by the US News and World Report in Social Mobility. The university expanded its need-based and merit-based institutional scholarships for 2026 and will further grow these programs in 2027. In addition, the university partners with outside agencies such as CASF (Construction Association of South Florida) who awarded the university $240,000 for construction scholarships to support our career focused majors. These relationships create a pathway for our graduates to find jobs and network in their industries to support their careers.

The university enrolls students of diverse backgrounds and seeks to support their career goals through our commitment to student success, academic excellence, community service, and the public good. Our admissions process is transparent and consistent, allowing for fairly applied processes void of discrimination. This same spirit is used in the principles applying to recruitment of faculty and staff at Everglades University.

We believe in professional, respectful, open dialogue in the classrooms, so individuals have freedom of inquiry and viewpoint diversity is encouraged for debate and learning.
