Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace and a Concentration in Flight Operations:

The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace with a Concentration in Flight Operations is only available to those who currently hold an FAA Commercial Instrument Multiengine or above flight ratings (Rotor Commercial Instrument also acceptable). The degree combines specific FAA transfer credit with a general education component and the possibility to further specialize and enhance the degree with additional Aviation or Management coursework. This degree is ideal for someone who wishes to utilize their FAA Certifications to maximize transfer credit. Coursework for the Flight Operations Concentration can still be taken by those who do not hold FAA Certifications and include Aviation Meteorology, Aviation Human Factors, Physiology of Flight, Aircraft Engines and Aircraft Systems. Additional coursework possibilities include Management, Airport Operations Management, Aviation Safety, Aviation Maintenance Management and Aviation Security. The degree prepares graduates for entry into and advancement within the diverse field of aviation specific to their desires and industry needs. Graduates will be prepared to meet the challenges of the diverse and dynamic aviation industry.

 

Program Objectives:

The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace including one Concentration provides the opportunity for employees and professionals of the aviation industry to gain a solid education, broaden their knowledge of the aviation industry, and gain valuable specific skills and knowledge as they pertain to the Degree and Concentration selected.

 

To receive a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace with a Concentration in Flight Operations students must complete 123 credit hours as described below. The length of the program is 41 months.
