Bachelor of Aviation: Airport Operations Management

The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace with a Concentration in Airport Operations Management combines a specific Aviation Management component to further strengthen core Aviation Management courses and knowledge. Combined with a general education component and the possibility to further specialize and enhance the degree with additional Aviation or Management coursework, this degree is ideal for someone who wishes to focus on the airport environment. Coursework for the Airport Operations Management Concentration include Airport Management, Air Cargo (or General Aviation Marketing Management or Air Traffic Control), FBO and Flight School Management, Corporate Aviation Operations and Airport Planning. Additional coursework possibilities include Management, Aviation Safety, Flight Operations, Aviation Maintenance Management and Aviation Security. The degree prepares graduates for entry into and advancement within the diverse field of aviation specific to their desires and industry needs. Graduates will be prepared to meet the challenges of the diverse and dynamic aviation industry.

Program Objectives

The Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace including one Concentration provides the opportunity for employees and professionals of the aviation industry to gain a solid education, broaden their knowledge of the aviation industry, and gain valuable specific skills and knowledge as they pertain to the Degree and Concentration selected.

To receive a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Aviation/Aerospace and a Concentration in Airport Operations Management students must complete 123 credit hours as described below. The length of the program is 41 months.
